Data protection
Privacy policy
This page explains which data JL HOME collects, why, how long it is kept and what each cookie on the site does, in line with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR, EU Regulation 2016/679) and the French Loi Informatique et Libertés.

2. Data collected
- Full name
- Email address
- Telephone number
- Employment situation (status, income, for financing simulations)
- Property project (type of property, budget, preferred location)
- For an appointment: chosen time slot, method (telephone or video call) and, where applicable, the programme or home concerned
- Browsing data, shared with Google or Meta only if you have accepted the corresponding purpose (section 6)
- Criteria included in the site search (location, budget, number of rooms…), recorded in our statistics only with your consent to “Audience measurement” (section 6). The text you type is never recorded there
- For a search by journey time: the workplace entered, used to calculate journeys (sections 5 and 6)
We do not collect any sensitive data within the meaning of Article 9 of the GDPR.
3. Purposes and legal basis
- Processing of your contact request. Legal basis: performance of a contract or pre-contractual measures
- Organisation of the appointment booked online (confirmation, reminders and entry into the adviser's diary). Legal basis: pre-contractual measures taken at your request; these messages do not amount to subscription to our marketing communications
- Qualification of your property project. Legal basis: consent
- Sending information about new-build developments. Legal basis: consent
- Improving our services and site security. Legal basis: legitimate interest
- Mesure d'audience avec Google Analytics 4 et statistiques de la recherche du site. Base légale : consentement à la finalité ‘Mesure d'audience’
- Measurement of programme views and enquiries, and adjustment of our advertising via Meta. Legal basis: consent to the purpose 'Advertising and enquiry measurement'
- Compliance with our legal obligations. Legal basis: legal obligation
4. Retention period
- Prospect data: 3 years from the last contact
- Client details (signed contract): 10 years after the end of the contractual relationship
- Google Analytics cookies: 13 months at the latest after your last visit
- Meta cookies: 3 months
- Your cookie choices: 6 months, then we ask you for them again
5. Recipients of data
- Partner property developers
- CRM tools: Airtable, n8n
- Audience measurement: Google Analytics 4, only after your consent to this purpose
- Measurement and advertising delivery: Meta Platforms Ireland Limited, only after your consent to the purpose ‘Advertising and measurement of enquiries’. Each event is also sent to two technical gateways of the Meta Conversions API, both of which receive it: one runs on Google Cloud, the other on Amazon Web Services, in the United States
- Journey time calculation, if you use this search: the Base Adresse Nationale (public service of the French State) receives the workplace address you enter in order to locate it, except for a few places the site already knows (La Défense, airports, major Paris railway stations), then Mapbox receives its coordinates and those of the programmes to calculate journey times. These requests are sent from our servers: they contain neither your IP address, nor your name, nor your contact details. Mapbox's servers may be located outside the European Union
- Telephony and voice assistants: ElevenLabs, Twilio
No data is sold to third parties.
6. Cookies and trackers
The banner offers two separate purposes: “Audience measurement (Google Analytics and search statistics)” and “Advertising and enquiry measurement (Meta)”. You can accept one and refuse the other. Forms, search and the comparison tool work in the same way whatever your choice.
Tant que vous n'avez pas choisi, et après un refus
The site loads no Google or Meta scripts and sends no requests to their servers, not even a cookie-less signal. No measurement or advertising cookie is set, and our search statistics record nothing.
If you accept audience measurement
The Google Analytics 4 script loads, then a first page view is sent. Each page viewed is then counted, along with a few actions: search launched and number of results, programme viewed or saved, comparison, form started or submitted, and click on a call or eligibility button.
These transmissions include the address of the page and that of the previous page, cleaned before sending: only the page path remains and, if you arrive from an advert, its campaign parameters (utm, gclid). The phrase typed into search, the criteria, the budget and monthly payment chosen, the workplace entered for a search by commute time, the amounts entered in the calculators and the personal links sent by your adviser are not included. Also added are the page title, the cookie identifier set out below and technical information (browser, screen size, language). Google infers an approximate location from the IP address. These transmissions contain neither the content of forms nor your contact details. Advertising storage remains refused, and Google signals and ad personalisation are disabled.
The same consent covers our search statistics, described below under ‘JL HOME internal measures’.
If you accept advertising and enquiry measurement
The Meta Pixel loads when a programme page is opened or after a contact request has been successfully sent. It only transmits two events: the viewing of the page, with the programme identifier, and, after a contact request has been successfully sent, the 'demande' event. The pages you open afterwards on the site are not reported to it. Automatic collection of clicks and forms is disabled. We do not add your name, email address, telephone number or budget to these events.
Meta also receives technical browsing information: the IP address, the _fbp cookie identifier, the address of the page where the event takes place and the address of the page you came from. The page address contains only its path, its campaign parameters and, for a home selected from an advertisement or from a catalogue map, the identifier of that home and the type of price displayed. If the page address contains a search, a workplace, a monthly payment or simulator amounts, no event is sent to Meta from that page. When you arrive from another page of jl-home.fr, your browser transmits only "https://jl-home.fr/", never the address of a search. When you arrive from another website, it transmits what that website permits, generally just its domain name. These two events also pass through the two technical gateways described in section 5.
What the address of a results page contains
The criteria of your search (location, budget, number of rooms, monthly payment and, for a search by travel time, the workplace entered) appear in the address of the results page, so that you can reload or share it. The phrase you typed also appears there when the search has fully understood it and it contains no name, address or telephone number. This address remains in your browser history and in the technical logs of our web server, and may appear in a security report (see "JL HOME internal measures"). It is transmitted neither to Google, which receives only the path, nor to Meta, which receives nothing from these pages. A link opened from the site does not transmit it either: your browser only shows "https://jl-home.fr/". To calculate journey times, the workplace also leaves our servers for the services described in section 5.
Withdraw your consent
The ‘Manage cookies’ link at the foot of each page reopens the banner: untick a purpose, then save. The change takes effect immediately, without reloading the page. On the Google side, no further data is sent, including data Google was holding in a queue, and the cookies _ga, _ga_XL77JLTKZ7 and, if any, _gcl are deleted. On the Meta side, the Pixel is revoked and sends nothing further, either to Meta or to the gateways, and the _fbp and _fbc cookies set on jl-home.fr are deleted. Our research statistics also stop. To have data already transmitted erased, write to us (section 8).

JL HOME internal measures
- Search statistics, with your consent to ‘Audience measurement’: when you start a search using the site’s search tool (the ‘Describe my project’ and ‘By monthly payment’ tabs, on the home page as well as on the programmes page) or from the results shown on the home page (filters and map cities), we record on our servers the criteria included (location, budget, number of rooms, floor area, delivery…), the monthly payment entered and, for home page results, the number of results. Searches ‘By criteria’ and by commute time, as well as the filters on the programmes page, are not recorded. After a search in the home page results, we also record, in the same tab, the click through to the contact page, a phone number or a simulator, as well as the click on the ‘Compare programmes’ button placed below these results, along with the tab’s random number. The phrase you type is never recorded in these statistics, nor is the workplace entered in the commute-time search. Without this consent, nothing is recorded, and withdrawing consent stops these statistics immediately. No IP address is kept and nothing is passed to any third party. This data is used to improve search.
- Documents sent by your adviser: the reading page measures, without cookies, the time spent on each page of the document and sends it to that adviser.
- Security reports: your browser may report to us a resource blocked by the site's security policy (page address and resource concerned), without cookies.
7. Transfers outside the European Union
Some service providers (Google, Meta, ElevenLabs) may process your data outside the European Union, as part of standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission. For Google and Meta, this only concerns the purposes you have accepted.
One of the two gateways of Meta's Conversions API (section 5) is hosted in the United States. It only receives data if you have accepted the purpose 'Advertising and enquiry measurement'.
