As classic as it is contemporary, Bordeaux cultivates a way of life among the most coveted in France. Its XVIIIth-century façades, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, its quays along the Garonne and its cobbled lanes sit alongside a city resolutely looking to the future: the Cité du Vin, the Jacques Chaban-Delmas lift bridge, and an efficient tramway network. The world capital of wine, Bordeaux also attracts entrepreneurs and talent through its economic dynamism. To the west of the city, the Croix Blanche district embodies Bordeaux elegance, away from urban bustle and a few minutes from the historic centre. Everything is within walking distance: bakery, butcher-caterer, convenience store, pharmacy, wine merchant, restaurants. The most renowned schools are nearby (Assomption Sainte-Clotilde, Lycée Camille-Jullian, Collège Cassignol, the Bon Pasteur and Saint-Gabriel schools), as are the Piscine Judaïque, the Basilica of Saint-Seurin and the Parc Bordelais, classified as a remarkable garden of France. Set quietly on Rue de Marseille, unseen from the street, Villa Maurice unveils itself at the heart of a vast landscaped park. Designed by the architect Thierry Morin, this exclusive project brings together just 11 homes: 7 new houses and 4 apartments fitted within the original family house dating from the 1960s. Fully restored, it has retained its notable features: its façades, its wall of geometric stained glass and its fine interior staircase. The last 3 apartments available, from T3 95 m² to T4 163,5 m², all enjoy generous terraces and, for some, private gardens. Each has a private parking space. Engineered wood flooring, Porcelanosa tiles, Grohe taps, large aluminium-framed picture windows and zoned heating: everything has been designed for complete comfort, in finished homes ready to move into. A word from the architect – Thierry Morin: "Unsuspected from the street, the address reveals an extraordinary plot, remarkable for its dimensions and the lushness of its landscaped park. In perfect condition, the original house, a fine example of contemporary construction from the 1960s, is being preserved and restored into 4 high-end apartments. Built around this building and with a commitment to preserving green spaces, Villa Maurice is complemented by 7 houses of generous size. The project's modern style follows directly in the tradition of Bordeaux's characteristic mineral architecture. " ACCESS AND TRANSPORT: BUS The 2 line, a high-service-level bus route, serves the district (stops Croix Blanche and Lycée Camille-Jullian) and connects directly to Saint-Seurin, Gambetta, Tourny and Place des Quinconces. Lines 1 and 9 also pass nearby. TRAMWAY From Place des Quinconces, connection with tramway lines B, C and D to reach the whole metropolitan area. CYCLING The Bordeaux metropolitan area has more than 1 700 km of cycle facilities. The "Le Vélo par TBM" service offers nearly 200 self-service stations with classic and electric bicycles, available 24h/24. CAR The proximity of the boulevard du Président Wilson gives quick access to the ring road and the A10 (Paris), A62 (Toulouse), A63 (Bayonne – Spain) and A660 (Bassin d'Arcachon) motorways. Le Cap Ferret and the Atlantic beaches are less than an hour away.
