The revival of an institution in Angoulême Facing the Town Hall and its gardens, this neoclassical architectural ensemble is impressive both for its style, very fashionable in the XIXth century, and for its scale. Built in 1833, it has had several lives, growing and transforming over time. First the Post Office, it was above all, until recently, a prestigious bank branch. Three entrances full of promise give access to the building, each with its own charm: the imposing mineral courtyard on rue de l'Arsenal, an English-garden style frontage on rue du Château, and, on rue du Général Leclerc, beneath the great Eiffel glass roof, the outline of the future interior garden, linking a prestigious past with contemporary life. The rest of the building follows the same character, bright and heritage-rich, with remarkable features to be preserved for centuries to come!
