GONFREVILLE L'ORCHER Adjoining Le Havre, Gonfreville-l'Orcher was, until the end of the XIXth century, a small village with major factories such as the Bassot foundry and the Corderie du Commerce, in the hamlet of Gournay-en-Caux. Now part of Havre Seine Métropole, the town benefits from the urban dynamism of Le Havre and retains a sought-after green setting. LE MANOIR DE BEVILLIERS, a Renaissance architecture of the XVIth century Built at the same time as the royal town of Le Havre, the Manoir de Bévillers is a very fine example of Renaissance architecture in Normandy. The Manor is a hospitality venue nestled in a golf course. Very little altered, it still retains all the codes of a Renaissance manor: large stone mullioned bays, magnificent carved fireplaces, fine ornamentation… Several of its windows even retain original parts (they are therefore nearly 500 years old). NEARBY The manor is situated at the entrance to Le Havre and offers easy access to the largest city in Normandy and the leading French port for energy supplies, wines and spirits, and the import and export of new vehicles. The economy of Le Havre has long rested on its working and maritime tradition. The town has developed thanks to a dynamic urban policy and a very committed mayor. THE RENAISSANCE OF THE MANOR Situated at the entrance to Le Havre, in the heart of a 9-hole golf course, the Manoir de Bévilliers will be converted into 13 homes spread over 3 levels: - Ground floor: 4 homes (1 studio, 2 two-room and 1 three-room) - 1st floor: 4 homes (2 studios, 1 two-room and 1 three-room) - 2nd floor: 5 homes (1 studio and 4 two-room) - 3rd floor: 13 storerooms The project provides for the restoration of the common areas, the treatment of interiors, the road and utility networks, and the treatment of the façades and roof. The development will bring the Manor back to life and welcome its future residents in a green setting with a fine landscaped park.
