Prestige and elegance of a XIXth-century building. The heritage complex consists of two buildings, constructed in local white limestone, tuffeau. Contemporary with the neighbouring Town Hall, it follows the codes of the neoclassical style of the late XIXth century, with its perfectly symmetrical ordered facades, moulded cornices and floor bands, and semicircular fanlights. On the Place du Général de Gaulle side, the central part of the solemn facade is surmounted by a triangular pediment, its tympanum decorated with scales and laurels, symbols of justice, the building having served as a court until 2009. On the rue Voltaire side, the central part projects from the rest of the building, giving access through a charming planted courtyard. Inside, all elements of heritage interest will be preserved and restored according to the rules of the art.
